How to know if my name in the Book of Life

This message is for you who feel hopeless, sinful, bitter, sick, or completely failed. Maybe you feel like you've never helped anyone, you can't even pray anymore. Yet there's a quiet, serious question in your heart:

"Is my name in the Book of Life? Or am I lost?"

The Book of Life is not a résumé. It is a book full of grace.

Revelation 21:27 (AMP):

"And nothing unclean, and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those whose names have been written in the Lamb’s Book of Life."

The Lamb is Jesus. The Book of Life is His book. Your name is not written there based on how good you were – but based on whether you believe in Jesus, who died for your sins.

God does not choose the strong – He saves the weak.

Matthew 11:28–30 (AMP):

"Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened [by religious rituals that provide no peace], and I will give you rest [refreshing your souls with salvation].

Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me [following Me as My disciple], for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest (renewal, blessed quiet) for your souls.

For My yoke is easy [to bear] and My burden is light."

Jesus doesn’t say, "Come, if you are holy." He says:

"Come, if you are tired."

Tiredness does not stop you from coming – it is the reason to come.

But I am bitter. I have no love.

Psalm 34:18 (AMP):

"The Lord is near to the heartbroken and He saves those who are crushed in spirit (contrite in heart, truly sorry for their sin)."

A bitter heart does not stop salvation, if that heart still longs for God. God does not despise a broken heart. He comes near to it.

But what if I have never done anything good?

Luke 23:42–43 (AMP):

"Then he was saying, ‘Jesus, [please] remember me when You come into Your kingdom!’

Jesus said to him, ‘I assure you and most solemnly say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.’"

This man never helped anyone. Never did good. Was never healed. He died a criminal.

But he believed in Jesus – and that was enough.

Salvation is not a reward for good works. It is grace.

Ephesians 2:8–9 (AMP):

"For it is by grace [God’s remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivContinuing from where the text was cut off:

John 6:37 (AMP):

"All that My Father gives Me will come to Me; and the one who comes to Me I will most certainly not cast out [I will never, never reject anyone who follows Me]."

Jesus does not reject those who come. He does not wait for you to clean yourself up. He receives you when you come – with all your guilt, shame, and failure.

Romans 8:1 (AMP):

"Therefore there is now no condemnation [no guilty verdict, no punishment] for those who are in Christ Jesus [who believe in Him as personal Lord and Savior]."

In Christ, the verdict has been announced:

Not guilty.

No more condemnation.

Even now, Jesus defends you.

1 John 2:1 (AMP):

"My little children (believers, dear ones), I am writing you these things so that you will not sin. But if anyone sins, we have an Advocate [who will intercede for us] with the Father—Jesus Christ the righteous [the upright, the just, the One who conforms to the Father’s will in every way—purpose, thought, and action]."

Jesus is your Advocate. That word means "defender in court." When the accuser, Satan, says you have sinned, Jesus does not deny it. But He stands and declares:

"Yes, this sheep is guilty of all you say.

But I paid the full price for it.

I will not demand punishment, because the price is already PAID.

It is FINISHED."

Romans 8:33–34 (AMP):

"Who will bring any charge against God’s elect (His chosen ones)? It is God who justifies us [declaring us blameless and putting us in a right relationship with Himself].

Who is the one who condemns us? Christ Jesus is the One who died [to pay our penalty], and more than that, who was raised [from the dead], and who is at the right hand of God interceding [with the Father] for us."

No one can accuse you, because Jesus, who died and rose again, is sitting at the right hand of the Father—and speaking on your behalf.

Hebrews 7:25 (AMP):

"Therefore He is able also to save forever (completely, perfectly, for eternity) those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to intercede and intervene on their behalf [with God]."

Jesus is not tired of you. He is not done with you. He lives forever to speak your name in Heaven. To pray for you. To stand for you.

So don’t give up.

Your name is not written in the Lamb's Book of Life because you were strong, but because He is strong. Not because you were faithful, but because He is faithful. Not because you deserve it, but because His blood paid for it.

If you believe in Him, you are His.

And He will never let you go unless you chose to not want him. Even then He will always want you as long as you live but if you choose to reject him He will allow you to even go to Sheol* because  he loves you so much. 

If you have nothing to offer – that’s perfect.

Then you can truly receive the gift.

(Sheol is relam of the dead where all who did not accept the free gift of salvation go to wait for God's judgment on last days.)

Choose Jesus today because he already chose you and he loves you.

Miten voin tietää, että nimeni on Elämän kirjassa, jos olen katkera, väsynyt ja täynnä kipua?

Tämä kirjoitus on sinulle, joka tunnet olevasi toivoton, syntinen, katkera, sairas tai täysin epäonnistunut. Ehkä tunnet ettet koskaan ole auttanut ketään, et jaksa enää edes rukoilla. Ja silti mielessäsi on hiljainen, vakava kysymys:

"Onko minun nimeni Elämän kirjassa? Vai olenko hukassa?"

Elämän kirja ei ole ansioluettelo. Se on armoa täynnä oleva kirja.

Ilmestyskirja 21:27 (AMP):

Suomennos sana sanalta:

"Eikä mikään saastainen, eikä kukaan joka harjoittaa kauhistusta ja valhetta, tule koskaan sisälle siihen (uuteen Jerusalemiin), vaan ainoastaan ne, joiden nimet on kirjoitettu Karitsan Elämän kirjaan."

Karitsa on Jeesus. Elämän kirja on Hänen kirjaansa. Nimeäsi ei kirjoiteta sinne sen perusteella, kuinka hyvä olit – vaan sen perusteella, uskotko Jeesukseen, joka kuoli syntiesi puolesta.

Jumala ei valitse vahvoja – Hän pelastaa heikot

Matteus 11:28–30 (AMP):

Jeesus ei sano: "Tule, jos olet pyhä." Hän sanoo:

"Tule, jos olet väsynyt."

Väsymys ei estä sinua tulemasta – se on syy tulla.

Mutta minä olen katkera. Minussa ei ole rakkautta.

Psalmi 34:18 (AMP):

"The Lord is near to the heartbroken and He saves those who are crushed in spirit (contrite in heart, truly sorry for their sin)."

"Herra on lähellä niitä, joilla on särkynyt sydän, ja Hän pelastaa ne, jotka ovat murskattuja hengessään (katkeria sydämeltä, aidosti murheellisia synnistään)."

Katkera sydän ei estä pelastusta, jos sydän kuitenkin kaipaa Jumalaa. Jumala ei halveksi murtunutta sydäntä. Hän tulee juuri sen luo.

Entä jos en ole koskaan tehnyt mitään hyvää?

Luukas 23:42–43 (AMP):

"Then he was saying, ‘Jesus, [please] remember me when You come into Your kingdom!’

Jesus said to him, ‘I assure you and most solemnly say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.’"

Suomennos sana sanalta:

"Sitten hän sanoi: ‘Jeesus, [ole hyvä ja] muista minua kun tulet valtakuntaasi!’

Jeesus sanoi hänelle: ‘Totisesti minä vakuutan ja juhlallisesti sanon sinulle: tänään olet minun kanssani Paratiisissa.’"

Tämä mies ei koskaan auttanut ketään. Ei tehnyt hyvää. Ei parantunut. Hän kuoli rikollisena.

Mutta hän uskoi Jeesukseen – ja se riitti.

Pelastus ei ole tekojen palkka. Se on armo.

Efesolaiskirje 2:8–9 (AMP):

"For it is by grace [God’s remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift of God;

not as a result of [your] works [nor your attempts to keep the Law], so that no one will [be able to] boast or take credit in any way [for his salvation]."

Suomennos sana sanalta:

"Sillä armosta [Jumalan ihmeellinen myötätunto ja suosio joka vetää sinua Kristuksen luo] te olette pelastetut [todella pelastetut tuomiolta ja saaneet iankaikkisen elämän] uskon kautta. Eikä tämä [pelastus] ole teistä itsestänne [ei oman yrityksenne kautta], vaan se on [ansaitsematon, armollinen] Jumalan lahja;

ei [omien] tekojen seurauksena [ei myöskään lain noudattamisen], jotta kukaan ei [voisi] kerskua tai ottaa kunniaa [pelastuksestaan]."

Jos sinulla ei ole mitään tuotavaa – se on täydellistä.

Silloin sinä voit ottaa lahjan vastaan.

Miten voin olla varma?

Johannes 6:37 (AMP):

"All that My Father gives Me will come to Me; and the one who comes to Me I will most certainly not cast out [I will never, never reject anyone who follows Me]."

Suomennos sana sanalta:

"Kaikki, mitä Isä antaa minulle, tulee minun luokseni; ja sitä, joka tulee minun luokseni, minä en varmasti heitä pois [en koskaan, koskaan hylkää ketään joka seuraa minua]."

Jos sinä tulet Jeesuksen luokse – et tule torjutuksi.

Jos et jaksa muuta, sano tämä rukous

"Jeesus, olen rikki. Minussa ei ole mitään hyvää. Olen sairas, katkera, väsynyt ja täynnä kipua.

Mutta uskon, että Sinä kuolit minun puolestani. Pese minut puhtaaksi.

Kirjoita minun nimeni Elämän kirjaan. Sinä olet minun ainoa toivoni."

Pelastus ei ole sinussa. Se on Jeesuksessa. Hän on uskollinen.

Nimesi voi olla Elämän kirjassa – vaikka kaikki sinussa huutaisi toista. Jos sydämesi huutaa Jeesusta, se riittää.

Meidän ajatukset tulee meille kolmesta lähteestä:

1)Henkivallat

2)Alitajunta / meidän oma sielu ja sen tunteet

3)Pyhä Henki

Me ollaan vastuussa siitä että me opettelemme että päätämme kuunnella sitä ääntä joka on samaa mieltä ja yhtenevää Raamatun totuuden kanssa. Jumalan sana on TOTUUS.

"Kyllä, tämä lammas on syyllinen. Mutta minä maksoin kaiken." – Jeesus, meidän puolustajamme

Meillä on vihollinen, jota Raamattu kutsuu syyttäjäksi, kreikaksi ho katēgoros, joka jatkuvasti syyttää meitä Jumalan edessä. Mutta meillä on myös Puolustaja, Paraklētos – Jeesus Messias itse.

Jeesus on meidän Puolustajamme, ei tuomarimme

1. Johanneksen kirje 2:1 (AMP):

"My little children (believers, dear ones), I am writing you these things so that you will not sin. But if anyone sins, we have an Advocate [who will intercede for us] with the Father—Jesus Christ the Righteous [the upright, the just, One who conforms to the Father’s will in every way—purpose, thought, and action]."

Sana sanalta suomennos:

"Rakkaat lapseni (uskovat, rakastetut), minä kirjoitan teille näitä asioita, ettette tekisi syntiä. Mutta jos joku tekee syntiä, meillä on Puolustaja [joka puhuu puolestamme] Isän luona – Jeesus Kristus, Vanhurskas [oikeamielinen, oikeudenmukainen, joka kaikessa täyttää Isän tahdon – tarkoituksessa, ajatuksessa ja teossa]."

Jeesus ei vain anna anteeksi – Hän itse puolustaa meitä Jumalan edessä.

Hän ei kiellä syntiämme, vaan sanoo:

"Kyllä, tämä lammas on syyllinen. Mutta minä maksoin hänen rangaistuksensa. Se on täytetty."

Saatana syyttää, Jeesus puolustaa

Ilmestyskirja 12:10 (AMP):

"Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, ‘Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom (dominion, reign) of our God, and the authority of His Christ have come; for the accuser of our believing brothers and sisters has been thrown down [at last], he who accuses them and keeps bringing charges [of sinful behavior] against them before our God day and night.’"

Sana sanalta suomennos:

"Sitten minä kuulin voimakkaan äänen taivaassa sanovan: 'Nyt on tullut pelastus, ja voima, ja valtakunta (herruus, hallinta) meidän Jumalallemme, ja Hänen Voideltunsa (Kristuksensa) valta; sillä meidän uskovien veljien ja sisarten syyttäjä on vihdoin heitetty alas, hän joka jatkuvasti nostaa syytteitä [syntisestä käytöksestä] heitä vastaan Jumalan edessä päivin ja öin.'"

Saatana on syyttäjä. Hän tuo esiin kaikki epäonnistumisesi ja syntisi  – mutta Jeesus on se, joka sanoo vastaukseksi:

"Totta. Hän teki nuo synnit. Mutta minä olen jo maksanut niistä kaikista."

Jeesus ei häpeä kutsua meitä veljikseen

Heprealaiskirje 2:11 (AMP):

"For both He who sanctifies and those who are sanctified [all have one Father]. For this reason He is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters,"

Sana sanalta suomennos:

"Sillä sekä Hän joka pyhittää, että ne jotka pyhitetään, [ovat kaikki yhdestä Isästä]. Tämän tähden Hän ei häpeä kutsua heitä veljiksi ja sisariksi."

Jeesus ei häpeä sinua.

Ei vaikka olisit epäonnistunut tuhansia kertoja. Hän kutsuu sinua veljeksi, sisareksi, omakseen. Hän ei käännä selkääsi, vaan puhuu sinusta hyvää Jumalan valtaistuimen edessä.

Jeesus sanoi ristillä: TÄYTETTY ON

Johannes 19:30 (AMP):

"When Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, 'It is finished!' And He bowed His head and voluntarily gave up His spirit."

Sana sanalta suomennos:

"Kun Jeesus oli ottanut hapanviinin, Hän sanoi: 'Se on täytetty!' Ja Hän kallisti päänsä ja antoi vapaaehtoisesti henkensä."

Kreikaksi: Tetelestai! – velka on maksettu täyteen.

Ei jäänyt mitään jäljelle, mitä sinun pitäisi maksaa.

Sinun velkasi on maksettu, ei vain "unohdettu"

Roomalaiskirje 8:33–34 (AMP):

Sinun osasi ei ole todistaa, että olet hyvä. Jeesus on jo tehnyt sen.

Hän ei vain sovittanut syntisi – hän todistaa taivaassa joka hetki, että sinun syntisi on jo pyyhitty pois.

Saatana voi huutaa:

"Tämä lammas valehtelee, katkeroituu, epäonnistuu!"

Mutta Jeesus vastaa:

"Kyllä. Hän on syyllinen. Mutta minä maksoin kaiken. Hinta on maksettu. Hän on vapaa."

Jos olet Kristuksen oma, olet vapaa. Ei siksi että olet hyvä – vaan koska Hän on maksanut kaiken.
