“That They May Know You Alone—Whose Name is Yahweh”
The last verse of Psalm 83 gives us the purpose behind the entire conflict:
“That they may know that You alone, whose name is the LORD, Are the Most High over all the earth.” (Psalm 83:18 AMP)
Literal: “That they may know You—Your name is YHWH—you alone are Most High over all the earth.”
The war in Psalm 83 ends not in silence, but in recognition. The enemies of God—those who conspire to erase His people—are crushed, not only physically but spiritually. They will know the truth: Yahweh is God, and there is no other.
Islam's Lies Exposed
From beginning to end, the Qur’an presents a false god named Allah who:
▪︎ Claims to be the same as Yahweh, but contradicts Him
▪︎ Denies the Son of God (Surah 4:171)
▪︎ Uses names borrowed from pagan gods—like ٱلصَّمَدُ (As-Samad) in Surah 112:2, which is taken from Baal's title in the Ugaritic text: “šmd dances in Baal’s hand like an eagle”
▪︎ Declares deception as divine:
Surah 3:54 – وَمَكَرُوا۟ وَمَكَرَ ٱللَّهُۖ وَٱللَّهُ خَيْرُ ٱلْمَـٰكِرِينَ
wa makarū wa makara Allāhu wa Allāhu khayru l-mākirīn
Literal: “And they schemed, and Allah schemed, and Allah is the best of schemers.”
No god who lies, steals names, and denies the Son can be Yahweh. Islam’s deception will be revealed by Yahweh Himself through acts of divine judgment. And that is exactly what Psalm 83 is: a divine response to a counterfeit covenant.
God’s Justice is Restorative and Global
God does not destroy for the sake of wrath alone. His judgments are designed to bring revelation and glory. That’s why Psalm 83 ends not with Israel being praised, but with Yahweh being known:
“That they may seek Your name, O LORD.” (v. 16)
Hebrew: יְבַקְשׁוּ שִׁמְךָ יְהוָה
This matches Ezekiel 38:23, after the Gog war:
“So I will magnify Myself, sanctify Myself, and make Myself known in the sight of many nations; and they will know that I am the LORD.”
Hebrew: וְנִקְדַּשְׁתִּי בְּעֵינֵי גּוֹיִם רַבִּים וְיָדְעוּ כִּי אֲנִי יְהוָֽה׃
Even the enemies of God will be forced to acknowledge Him. Islam will fall. The false prophet Muhammad, who never heard from Ruach HaKodesh but from a demon masquerading as Jibreel, will be unmasked. And Yahweh, through His Arm—Jesus the Messiah—will reign.
Jesus: The Arm of Yahweh Will Return
Isaiah 59:16-17 tells us:
“And He saw that there was no man, and was astonished that there was no one to intercede; Then His own arm brought salvation to Him, And His righteousness upheld Him.”
Hebrew: וַתּ֤וֹשַׁע לוֹ֙ זְרֹע֔וֹ – “Then His arm (Zeroa) brought salvation.”
That arm is Yeshua, the visible image of the invisible God (Colossians 1:15), who is called in John 12:38 “the Arm of the LORD”.
He is not just a prophet. He is the expression of Yahweh Himself. When He returns, He will crush all nations that fight against Jerusalem:
“Then the LORD will go forth and fight against those nations, as when He fights on a day of battle.” (Zechariah 14:3)
And the feet of this Arm will stand on the Mount of Olives (Zechariah 14:4). Not Gabriel. Not a mere man. Yahweh Himself.
What Should We Do?
Psalm 83 is not yet fulfilled—but it is unfolding. We are watching its players move into place: Gaza, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, and others uniting in hatred. But this is their endgame: they will fall, and Yahweh will be known.
Until then, our duty is:
▪︎ Pray for Israel’s salvation—not just for peace, but that they recognize their Messiah (Romans 11:26). And even if they do not want Jesus yet LOVE THEM. Commands of our Yeshua didn't change depending how people treat us. We are commanded to love even our enemies so I promise you if you do not love Israeli you are not doing will of Jesus at all..
▪︎ Expose false religions—especially Islam, which denies the true God.
▪︎ Preach Yeshua, the Arm of Yahweh—the only way to salvation (John 14:6). Remember to share gospel by love and loving people even if they do not want to hear. You were still commanded to love people.
▪︎ Wait in faith—because He who promised is faithful (Hebrews 10:23).
Psalm 83 is not just a psalm of war. It is a psalm of vindication.
“That they may know that You alone, whose name is Yahweh, are the Most High over all the earth.”
And they will know.
